General Information Meeting: Monday, Oct. 7, 2019 at 6:30 pm in the Stackhouse Theater, followed by breakout sessions with faculty directors. Applications open on October 8 and are due by 4:00 pm on Oct. 25, 2019. You may apply for up to two courses but please indicate clearly in the application questionnaire if it is your first or second choice.

AFCA 295 - Black Writers and the Allure of Paris

FRANCE. Spend two weeks at W&L immersed in the literary works of black writers of the Harlem Renaissance and the mid-twentieth-century period. Then travel to Paris and dedicate two weeks to exploring the city that spurred black writers to examine modern racial identity.

ARTH 356-Science in Art

THE NETHERLANDS. This course involves a survey of 17th-century Dutch history, art history, etc., which links the scientific analysis to the art and culture of the time.

BUS 391 - Corporate Social Responsibility Practicum

DENMARK. This is a project-based course that further explores the concepts of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability as practiced in Denmark, regarded as one of the most progressive economies.

ENGL 386/THTR 286 - Shakespeare in Performance

THE UNITED KINGDOM. Study Shakespeare from both literary and theatrical perspectives. See performances by the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Globe Theatre Company. Participate in workshops with scholars and artists.
