Soobin Cho Class of 2013 - Republic of Korea

There are several things I really like about Washington and Lee University. As a liberal arts college, W&L has an amazingly close relationship between professors and students. As an international student who wants to speak English as much as I can, I take advantage of the fact that most W&L students are native English speakers and I don't just hang out with Koreans. There are many opportunities for research for students to grow personally and professionally. The university supports students who wish to engage in a learning environment by funding research assistantships in the summer. The study abroad program is well organized between W&L and other schools all over the world. It encourages me to be a world citizen. In fact, I am going to study in Denmark next fall term! Finally, Lexington is so safe that every morning I go jogging and every night I go for a walk with friends, knowing that I am in a cozy and safe environment.
