Blaise Buma Class of 2013 - Cameroon

Washington and Lee has helped me realize that I can do almost anything around the world. Even though it is a small school, you will find money for internships, special programs and conferences. You can study abroad. The link that the university has with the corporate world through Career Services is phenomenal. You have open access to all of your professors who interact with you both as professionals and friends. You will get support from faculty and staff to help you sort out any problem you might have. There's a flexibility of choosing courses and the scheduling of exams. The Honor Code helps to promote an environment of trust not found in many other academic settings. My recommendation to new students is to take your studies seriously, get good grades, and don't expect a lot from the social life!
