Hamza Zia, '26 - International Student Orientation Leader and International Student Mentor hzia@mail.wlu.edu

My name is Hamza. I am a rising Sophomore from Pakistan and an Engineering/Computer Science major. As someone passionate about community engagement and leadership, I've got my finger on the pulse of all the cool happenings on campus. So, whether you're curious about the Bonner Program, The Office of Residence Life, The Office of Inclusion and Engagement, The Peer Tutoring Program, General Technology Club, South Asian Student Association, or Around The Globe Multicultural Dance Organization, I'm your guy!
This summer, I'm leading a super-cool project to empower the marginalized transgender community of Pakistan. It's one of the many things that I engage myself in to make a positive difference and give back to my community. And when I'm not busy being a superhero, trying to help and empower individuals around me, you will usually find me jamming out to Bollywood songs and hanging out with my crew.
Please don't hesitate to send me a quick email if you have any questions, or just want to say hello! I can't wait to meet and welcome you all to the amazing W&L community!
