- Alliance for Health Reform - The Alliance for Health Reform is seeking interns focusing on health policy research and media relations.
- Department of Veterans Affairs - The VA's goal is to provide excellence to the over 25 million veterans currently alive in patient care, veterans benefits, and customer satisfaction.
- Department of Health and Human Services - The mission of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is to enhance the health and well-being of all Americans, by providing for effective health and human services and by fostering sound, sustained advances in the sciences underlying medicine, public health, and social services.
- Health Communications Internship Program - The National Cancer Institute (NCI) is the Federal Government's principal agency for cancer research and training.
- Health Resources and Services Administration Public Health Internship - This is a public health internship with a federal agency in Washington D.C., HRSA.
- U.S. Public Health Service Junior Commissioned Officer Student Training and Extern Program - JRCOSTEP participants serve in assignments throughout the country during their official school breaks for periods from 31 to 120 days.

- American Public Health Association Internships - The American Public Health Association is the oldest, largest and most diverse organization of public health professionals in the world.
- AmeriCorps - AmeriCorps State and National provides funds to local and national organizations and agencies committed to using national service to address critical community needs in education, public safety, health and environment.
- CDC Emerging Leaders Program - Comprehensive, two year, full time employment and career development program that is a stepping stone to careers in science, technology, public health, administration and more.
- Morehouse College - Project Imhotep - Morehouse College offers a Cooperative Summer Program in Public Health.
- New York Health Research Training Program (HRTP) - This provides undergraduate, graduate/professional school students the opportunity to experience some of the "real life" challenges of public health.
- Peace Corps - Peace Corps Volunteers serve in 74 countries in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Central and South America, Europe, and the Middle East.
- UCLA School of Public Health Visiting Scholars Program - This is a program for individuals who are interested in learning more about public health issues without participating in a formal degree program.
- Young Leader of Social Change - The Young Leader of Social Change Fellowship provides an outstanding recent college or public health graduate with an opportunity to engage in high impact front-line global service programs.
Research Opportunities
- Albert Einstein College of Medicine - Diversity Student Summer Research - This is designed to provide educational opportunities for undergraduate students who have a strong interest in a research career in biomedical or biological or medicine.
- IHME Post-Bachelor Fellowship - This fellowship provides a unique opportunity for recent college graduates with strong quantitative skills to train with faculty and senior researchers on a variety of public health projects.
- Keck Graduate Institute - The SURE program provides undergraduate students the opportunity for cutting-edge, interdisciplinary research in the areas of applied molecular and cellular biology, bioengineering, computational biology, as well as exposure to related ethics and business topics.
- Mount Sinai Summer Undergraduate Research Program - SURP fellows receive intensive research training in a cutting-edge biomedical laboratory, thus gaining an insider's perspective into Mount Sinai graduate programs and academic life.
- National Institutes of Health, Clinical Center, Bioethics Fellow - Fellows participate in bioethics seminars, case conferences, ethics consultation, review of research protocols and IRB deliberations, and have access to multiple educational opportunities at the NIH.
- National Institutes of Health Postbaccalaureate Intramural Research Training Award (Postbac IRTA/CRTA) - Provides recent college graduates who are planning to apply to graduate or professional (medical/dental/pharmacy) school a paid opportunity to spend 1-2 years performing full-time research at the National Institutes of Health.
- National Institutes of Health Student Programs - The NIH provides a plethora of opportunities for students at all levels.
- Pfizer Lab Internships (Summer) - Pfizer, the world's largest research-based pharmaceutical company is offering several laboratory internships in fields of chemistry, microbiology, and physical sciences.
- Research Associates Program at St. Vincent's Medical Center (Summer) - The Dept. of Emergency Medicine at St. Vincent's Medical Center recruits college students and graduates to join research efforts in the emergency department (ED).
- STARS - Boston University's Summer Training as Research Scholars Program is designed to promote access to graduate education for talented undergraduates from minority groups traditionally underrepresented in the biomedical sciences.
- UCLA Summer Programs for Undergraduate Research - They offer upper division undergraduate students with outstanding academic potential the opportunity to work closely with faculty mentors on research projects.
- University of California, San Francisco Summer Research Programs - Spend 10 weeks working with UCSF faculty members on research projects. Participants in the program take part in seminars, lectures, and social events.
- Weill Cornell Summer Programs - This program is for underrepresented minority and disadvantaged college students who wish to pursue the combined MD- PhD degree.
Internship Opportunities
- Becton, Dickinson, and Company (BD) Internships - Offering summer internships to rising seniors and graduate students.
- Health Career Connection (HCC) Fellowship - HCC, the California Healthcare Workforce Alliance, Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Southern California Chapter, and health employers offer three to six month, full-time fellowships.
- HOSA - Extensive list of internships and opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students.
- National Institutes of Health Graduate Partnership Program - Supports three years of a PhD or MD/PhD in the biomedical sciences at the National Institutes of Health and one of the NIH university partners in the US or abroad.
- Office of Minority Health and Health Disparities- Various Fellowships - The OMHD supports training opportunities for qualified students at all levels of their education. Many of the opportunities involve working with the Federal Government or the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
- Partners in Health Internships - Partners in Health is a foundation that strive to cultivate a concerted movement of people and communities dedicated to fighting poverty, social injustices and health inequities.
