Immunization Policy

Washington and Lee University adheres to the Code of Virginia § 23.1-800 immunization requirement for enrolled students. All full-time students new to the University are required to complete pre-entrance health forms. Unless exempted for qualified exclusions, students are required to have up-to-date immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis, Polio, Varicella (Chicken Pox -- see immunization form), Hepatitis B (see immunization form for details), and Meningococcal Quadrivalent (see immunization form for details). Several other immunizations are recommended but are not required.
