Nicole Perry (she/her(s)) is a Silver Palm Award-winning and Carbonell Award-nominated Intimacy Choreographer, as well as a dance choreographer in South Florida. She is a Certified Intimacy Director and Certified Intimacy Coordinator with Intimacy Directors and Coordinators.

Perry has trained with IDC, IDI, TIE and Intimacy Stage and Screen (UK).

Recent credits include: 2 Broward County Artist Investment Grants for new dance works, KINesphere 2021 and 2023, Intimacy Coordination for an episode of BET's First Wives Club, feature films for Hulu and Netflix and The Truth of a Thousand Nights, an award-winning short film, Intimacy Choreography for the powerful One in Two at Island City Stage, and the world premiere of Defacing Michael Jackson by Aurin Squire at Miami New Drama.

Career highlights include Intimacy Coordination for God Forbid: The Sex Scandal that Brought Down a Dynasty on Hulu, Intimacy Choreography for To Fall in Love at Theatre Lab, which transferred to Martha's Vineyard for Summer 2023. Other credits include choreography for The 6th Annual Somatic Dance Concert Series and Center City Opera Theater's World Premiere of The Always Present Present, and two full seasons as the resident choreographer at Hedgerow Theatre, including their World Premiere of An American Tragedy.

Perry holds an MFA from Goddard College in Interdisciplinary Arts, with concentrations in Performance Creation and Decolonial Arts Praxis. Her thesis is: Working Consent: Ethical Engagement with Collaborators, Students, Audiences, and the Land in Dance and Theatre Pedagogy and Practice.

Perry is a certified Laban/Bartenieff Movement analyst. Her certifying project combined L/BMS and Intimacy Choreography. She recently published "Motif Writing (LBMA) for Meaning-Making and Show Maintenance in Intimacy Choreography" in the peer-reviewed Journal of Movement Arts Literacy.

Perry is the founder of Momentum Stage, Inc., which offers professional development for artists, arts educators and arts organizations on the topics of touch, trauma-awareness, consent, Laban/Bartenieff for performers and more. She has delivered trainings for dancers, actors and teachers at universities and organizations around the world. Momentum is proud to partner with the Dance Education Equity Association in delivering these trainings to dance studios and competitions across the US. Perry has taught extended courses in the Ethics of Touch for Momentum, the Laban Institute for Movement Studies (USA) and the National Dance Education Organization (USA).

Perry is a visiting Assistant Professor of Dance at Florida Atlantic University. She is also a certified Pilates instructor through Romana's Pilates, a classical Pilates organization.

Along with Sarah Lozoff and Renee Redding-Jones, she is a member of Intimacy Direction In Dance, connecting classical ballet and concert dance companies and conservatory and university dance programs to Intimacy Directors skilled in dance. In addition, she is a member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, the National Dance Education Organization, the Dance Studies Association,and the Association of Theatre Movement Educators.
