Internship and Study Semester in Asia Pacific (ISSAP)

Students participating in the Internship and Study Semester in Asia Pacific (ISSAP) will earn 15 credits by completing the following:

  1. Four 3-credit hour courses over an 8-week period (two courses per 4-week period) in Sydney, Australia
  2. Seven-week 3-credit hour (unpaid) internship in Sydney, Australia.

Course of Study

Students will pick their coursework from a fixed slate of courses taught by seasoned university professors in the areas of business, politics, and local culture. A list of courses offered during Fall 2022 is available here

Fall 2022 Program Deadlines

  • March 4, 2022: Student applications due
  • March 7-18, 2022: Individual interviews, course selection, and admission offers
  • March 21, 2022: Last day to accept admission offer


This program is open to all juniors and seniors who have completed ACCT 100. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3 at the time of application is required. Before submitting your application, consult with your academic advisor to ensure that participating in this program does not delay your graduate date.

Students are not eligible to study abroad if on academic or social probation during their semester abroad. Students accepted into study abroad programs who are then placed on academic or conduct probation will be liable for the full costs of the program even if they withdraw from the program.


The cost of the program is $18,000 (subject to change).

Included in this program fee are all tuition and transfer credit costs, housing, select activities and meals, and a seven-night trip (including round-trip airfare and accommodations) to Cairns. Students must pay for their own travel arrangements to Sydney, visa application fees, and provide money for their books, academic supplies, and personal needs throughout the program period.

Please note: this cost is subject to change in case of significant currency variations or increases in the cost of services from the program providers. We will make every effort to inform you of any changes in a timely manner.


Students will be housed in off-campus apartments. More information regarding housing will be provided to program participants at a later date. Please inform Professor Irani of any special housing requests or needs.
