For Wednesday, September 8 September 7, 2021

Your initial faculty adviser should have provided you guidance about when and where to meet Wednesday morning, please reach out to them if they have not and go to their office unless you hear otherwise.

If you are eligible for work study, then you must attend the meeting at 11:30am in Elrod Commons, Stackhouse Theater to complete paperwork that is required before you begin working and learn how to get paid.

The Community Discussion at 1:30pm will be based on the novel A Lesson Before Dying, which you received this summer.  Please bring your book to your discussion.  This will be a seminar setting with approximately 12 students in a room with one of the 40 faculty who volunteered to facilitate.  Your discussion location and facilitator are indicated in the attached document.  You may want to find the room earlier in the day to make sure you know where you are going or at least locate it on the campus map and head there a bit early to make sure you are on time.

For the few who may need to switch something about your course schedule, please visit the Registration Help Desk between 3-5pm in Elrod Commons 206.  Academic deans and the registrar’s office will be available to discuss your options and prepare you for drop/add and waitlists which begin at 7:30am on Thursday, Sept. 9

Honor System Orientation is in University Chapel at 8pm.  Check with your RA beforehand if you are not sure where your discussion group is meeting after University Chapel.

Then relax with s’mores around a campfire at Washington Street Park from 9-11pm (and enjoy a slide show of OWeek memories).
