Lee Family Matters

Join us at Lee Chapel and Museum for a tour dedicated to the Lee Family. Most people know Robert E. Lee's role in history, but what role did his family play? Discover the lives of Lee's wife, Mary Custis Lee, and their seven children. Learn about what makes each of them unique and how over time their lifestyle changed to adapt to circumstances beyond their control. The Lee family covers a wide range of topics including working with people with disabilities, home-making, genealogy, but most importantly, the development of the student's connection to his/her own family. Students will finish their visit by completing a scavenger hunt to find Lee family portraits and artifacts in our museum.
