Washington and Lee provides memberships with unlimited digital access to Care.com, the largest online care network, for employees to make finding the right care for your family easier. Just log on to your Care@Work benefit for Washington and Lee University page at www.care.com/wlu, and use your W&L email address to be added to create your account. You'll be able to search for care providers or post a job. Then review detailed profiles for interested care providers, including experience, availability, rates, photos, references, reviews, and background checks. Once you find a care provider that seems to be the right fit for your family, phone screen, live interview, and check references. Voila! Care need fulfilled!
Employees and spouses or partners who are unable to view the Care.com website due to visual impairment may contact Expert Assistance for help accessing the services provided by Care.com. An Expert Assistance specialist can post a job on the Care.com site, screen through applications, reach out to caregivers, and provide a short list of caregivers from which to hire care. Call 855-781-1303 and select extension #3 to reach Expert Assistance.

Have a 'last minute' care need? Use Care on Call for for back up child care, elder care, pet care, etc. The University subsidizes 60% of last minute or emergency child and elder care in order for you to attend to work responsibilities, the benefit covers up to $200 per employee per year. Use the back-up care reimbursement form on this page and submit to Human Resources for reimbursement.

The Senior Care Advisors are Master's level social workers who can assist in the many aspects of senior care planning. Care Advisors are available as a free service to benefits eligible employees over the phone and email. Your personal advisor can work with the entire family on important decision making, planning, navigating the many options for care and much more. For situations big and small, Senior Care Advisors are available to provide professional adult and senior care guidance.
The Family Care Hub serves as a platform for secure care coordination of adult family members. Anyone on the caregiving team can easily access and organize information regarding your loved one's care. Instead of important information being shared via text messages, emails, and phone calls, the Family Care Hub allows you to keep all communication organized.
The Family Care Hub benefit is helpful for individuals and groups who are coordinating care such as medical care and transportation, maintaining up-to-date records, and communicating about changes in care. It replaces text messaging to include a communication method that provides secure document and information storage as well as messaging.
