As an Alum

Many alumni stay in contact with their geology professors and the department, either to seek advice about jobs or graduate school or to keep friendships going. Alums provide helpful information to students about graduate school and careers by making themselves available to talk with students, even coming to campus for events. Alums also support funds that allow students to have so many valuable experiences during their time here. We are grateful for all the support alums provide -- thank you!

If we have accurate email or snail mail information for you, you will receive the Department Newsletter each fall. We hope you will submit alumni updates -- and please feel free to suggest ideas for content. We will also let you know about upcoming get-togethers at the major geoscience conferences. Even if you aren't going to the conference, if you live in the area, we hope you will join.

And there are the very fun geology alumni reunions, which are held about every 5 years and are separate from other reunion weekends. There's always a field trip and BBQ, panel discussions, and a cocktail hour and dinner -- and a lot of time to see old friends and make new ones.

Please let us know if you change your email address or snail mail address so we can stay in touch with you.

See the Alumni tab on this website for more information. We hope to see you back in the department soon!
