All-Virtual Day

Due to the weather conditions today, Thursday, Feb. 18, Washington and Lee will open at 10 a.m. in an all-virtual capacity. Essential personnel should report as assigned. Please use extra caution when walking and driving.

Undergraduate and law classes will begin at 10:00 a.m. virtually where possible. In-person classes that cannot take place in a virtual format will be rescheduled by the professor.

Undergraduate classes will follow an adjusted class schedule. Law classes that begin before 10:00 a.m. are canceled.

Faculty are encouraged to stay home and hold classes virtually where possible. Faculty should e-mail their students directly if class will not be held. All students living off-campus should stay home.

University facilities will be open for students living on campus who need a quiet place to study or attend a virtual class meeting.

Non-essential personnel are also advised to work remotely if possible. The university's inclement weather policy for employees is in effect for those unable to do so.

Staff members should notify an immediate supervisor if they are unable to work remotely, or if they have made a personal decision to delay arrival or be absent.

More information is available on our Inclement Weather Information page.
