Quarantine Protocol for Individuals Who Have Been Vaccinated

According to the CDC's Quarantine Guidelines, updated Feb. 11, individuals who have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19 are not required to quarantine if they have been fully vaccinated against the disease within the last three months and show no symptoms. Fully vaccinated means that it has been at least two weeks since your second dose of approved COVID-19 vaccine.

If you are identified as a close contact of someone with COVID-19 and have recently completed vaccination, inform the contact tracing personnel from the COVID-19 Care team or the Student Health Center (SHC). If documentation is available that you have been fully vaccinated within the last three months, you are showing no COVID-19 symptoms, and you have a negative COVID-19 antigen test, you will not be required to quarantine after possible exposure.

Please send documentation of any/all doses of COVID-19 vaccination to the SHC as you receive them. Be sure to e-mail a photo or copy of your CDC COVID-19 Vaccination card to studenthealth@wlu.edu for inclusion in your medical record.

Statewide COVID-19 Vaccine Pre-Registration System

Virginia launched a new Statewide Vaccine Pre-Registration System today to provide a unified and comprehensive process for people in Virginia to pre-register for the COVID-19 vaccine. The site replaces the previous Central Shenandoah Health District registration site. All individuals who previously filled out a survey or form or signed up for a waitlist to be vaccinated through the local health district will be automatically imported into the new statewide system, so there is no need to register again if you previously registered through the CSHD site. Individuals will maintain their current status in the queue, and will be able to search to make sure that they are in the new system.

Student Dashboard Site Highlights Latest Programs Available for Students

Student Affairs, Student Activities, Campus Recreation and student organizations continue to deliver programming to help students connect in these challenging times. W&L's Student Dashboard is a helpful resource to check out the latest student programming for Winter Term. If you have suggestions or ideas for student events, please share them with your class dean or Kelsey Goodwin.

Caught You! (doing the right thing, that is!)
