Weekly COVID-19 Committee Update - Faculty and Staff
To: W&L Faculty and Staff
From: COVID-19 Committee
Date: Wednesday, November 18
Below is this week's update on the university's response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which will be the final regular update for the Fall Term. Please continue to check the COVID-19 Resources website for the latest campus messages and resources, and to submit your questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Free Drive-Through COVID-19 Testing Tomorrow
Pre-departure COVID-19 testing has concluded at W&L's on-campus clinic, but VMI and VDH are hosting a free drive-through COVID-19 testing clinic in the Marshall Hall parking lot on VMI post on Thursday, Nov. 19 from 2 - 6 p.m. Pre-registration is highly encouraged and can be completed at https://www.doineedacovid19test.com. Participants need to be at least 17 years old and do not need to be symptomatic to be tested. Results will be provided in an online portal, typically within 3-5 days. Visitors should access VMI post via Letcher Ave. and follow signage to the testing site.
Note: A negative COVID-19 test reflects your status only on the day the sample was collected. Even if your test is negative, you could potentially still be at risk from a previous or subsequent exposure, as COVID-19 can take between 2 and 14 days to develop.
Reminder: January Winter/Spring Term Arrival Testing and Testing Exemptions
Mandatory re-arrival COVID-19 testing for employees will take place Jan. 11-15, 2021. If you do not plan to work on campus in January 2021 and believe you should be exempt from January arrival testing, please notify Anne Remington (email@example.com) by Dec. 4.
Reminder: Daily Attestation in November and December
Please continue to complete your Daily Attestation through Sunday, Dec. 20. You will not need to complete the attestation during the university's winter break. Employees will receive details about community expectations and the daily attestation for Winter/Spring Term in December.
Reminder: Student Conduct Data
COVID-related student conduct data are being made available to interested faculty and staff and can be found on Box in the file: Student Conduct at W&L During COVID.
