Scheduling Requirements for Ongoing Screening Testing - W&L Students

To: W&L Students
From: W&L's COVID-19 Testing Team
Date: Monday, January 18

Many students have now undergone their initial arrival COVID-19 screening test in Evans Hall, and all students should have received invitations to set up their accounts with Aura (info@auratracker.org). If you have not done so already, please create your Aura user account. Aura also provides an app that includes appointment scheduling, touchless check-in on the day of testing, and delivery of test results. We highly recommend that you download this app to manage your COVID testing activity.

After you have scheduled your first arrival test on your assigned date, it is your responsibility to schedule future testing appointments and maintain compliance with W&L's testing requirements. You should schedule your second arrival test for 6 or 7 days after your initial test.

After completing both arrival tests, please use the Aura app to continue to manage your ongoing testing for the remainder of the year. During the start of the term, and while positivity rates remain high, we have committed to testing every student every 7 days. You can see your compliance status as well as the due date for your next test in the Aura app by going to "My Aura" and clicking on "Certification." This will display the date your current certification expires. You should plan to schedule your next test on or before this date. Note that if you are an in-season athlete, your testing requirement may differ. Your coach will convey your NCAA testing requirement, and the app will display your specific testing interval.

If you were exempted from arrival testing due to a prior positive COVID-19 test, you will not be able to schedule testing until 90 days after your positive test date. After the 90 days have passed, you will be prompted to schedule a test in Aura, and you should plan to comply with ongoing testing protocols starting at that time.

Testing is available this week in Evans Hall on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, with appointments available between 7am and 2pm. Starting on Monday, January 25, testing will move to a new facility in the Gaines Hall parking lot, where testing will be available daily Monday through Friday from 7am to 3pm. If you ever need to change or cancel an appointment, you can do so in the Aura app. Please cancel any unneeded appointments in advance in order to free up testing space for others.

Screening testing is only for individuals who are not experiencing any symptoms. If you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, please contact the Student Health Center for a consultation prior to scheduling testing.

If you have questions about COVID-19 testing on campus or need assistance, please reach out to covid19testing@wlu.edu. We are excited to have you back on campus and look forward to a safe and productive term ahead.
