
BUS 393 – Doing Business in India

One week on campus, 2.5 weeks in India

Following one week of intense in-class lectures and discussions on doing business in India, students will spend two and half weeks in India (not including travel days). The goal of this study abroad is to introduce W&L students to the Indian business culture and to provide them the opportunity to compare the ways in which business is done in India and US. Upon completion of this study abroad, the students will also be able to understand the nuances of the Indian political, social and economic environment that influences how business is done in the country. During this study abroad, students will get to visit historical sites in India and interact with local Indian firms as well as subsidiaries of foreign multinational companies (MNC) located in India. Students will travel to New Delhi, Agra (Taj Mahal), Jaipur and Hyderabad.
Program fee (Paid to W&L): $5,642
Includes programming, room, most meals, fees, and ground transportation.
Additional costs: airfare, books, a few meals, cell phone, spending money, COVID-19 testing, passport, and visa fees (if applicable).
