Mary Caitlin Ray '09 '12L


In 2012, Ms. Ray graduated from Washington and Lee School of Law.  During law school, Ms. Ray was a Kirgis Fellow, an Honor Advocate, and the Publications Editor of the Journal of Civil Rights and Social Justice.  As part of the Third Year Program, Ms. Ray served as a student law clerk to the Honorable Michael F. Urbanski, District Court Judge in the Western District of Virginia.  During the summers, Ms. Ray combined her language skills with her interest in international law as a summer associate with McDermott, Will & Emery's Shanghai office. She also served as a research assistant to Professor Susan Franck, focusing on the structures and procedures of international tribunals. 

Ms. Ray is a counsel at Crowell & Moring LLP in Washington, DC.  Her practice focuses on aviation regulatory counseling, business aviation, and commercial drones.  Prior to joining Crowell & Moring, Ms. Ray served as an attorney in the Office of the Chief Counsel of the Federal Aviation Administration.
